Last week before Broward County Public Schools start back! I don't know about you, but I am looking forward to a little bit of a predictable schedule for the whole family again- although this does mean I will start feeling like a chauffeur most days. That brings us to many "Back-To-School" activities going on across South Florida and there are many listed here this week. But, that also means that things are starting to slow down a bit where activities go during the week- no worries, the weekends are packed full! Although the next event is not going on until October 5-7 at The Coral Springs Gymnasium- I wanted to introduce you to one of my favorite events- that helps me make a little money and save a ton all at the same time- so you can get ready!
I used to sell all of my kids stuff on eBay and did well. THEN I found the JBF sales- just as good as eBay- much less time since it eliminates watching an auction for days, packaging and shipping.
They have sales seasonally and the sales "match the season". These sales are HUGE- you can find most everything you would ever need at majorly discounted prices. Gather your stuff and go to the link above to see how to "Tag" your stuff, drop it off on the drop off date and you make some cash. You also will get the opportunity to shop before the public, and if you choose to volunteer you profit more money on your sales and benefit by having even more "pre-sale" shopping days. At sunset the Morikami Lake is transformed into a tranquil sea of lighted lanterns which, in accordance with Japanese custom , guide the departure of ancestors' souls. For an afternoon of quality time with your child, we have something at Pinecrest Gardens for children of every age.
Splash 'n Play, A water playground designed for the enjoyment of children ages 2 through 12. It is open daily from 10:00 a.m. to one hour prior to the park's closing. The admission fee for this activity is $3.00 per child. Petting Zoo, get a chance to interact with our farm animals. Open daily at 10:00 a.m., 12:00 p.m., 2:00 p.m., and 4:00 p.m. Admission to the petting zoo is FREE. Playground is aadjacent to a picnic table area and concession, the colorful playground offers kids a wide variety of fun and exercise. Feed the Fish, the waterways throughout the garden offer children a unique opportunity to feed fish in their native environment. Fish food is sold at the Splash 'N Play attendant stand. Botanical Gardens, the gardens offer some of the most beautiful and rare plants from around the world serving as a perfect stage for the young botanists.
